ISTQB® (International Software Testing Qualifications Board)
ISTQB®(International Software Testing Qualifications Board) is a non-profit association legally registered in Belgium, it is the only authoritative international software testing qualification certification body. It’s main responsibility is to promote the international general qualification framework, that is ISTQB® Certified Tester project. This project is authorized by ISTQB® member boards to organize the certification of their local software test engineers and is subject to ISTQB® quality monitoring. ISTQB certified tester certification, a globally recognized one, will be issued after passing the qualification.
ISTQB® currently has 68 national member boards covering 130 countries and regions within the United States, Germany, Britain, France, and India etc. Hundreds of test experts who are coming from these nations and regions served in ISTQB® advocate this software test engineer certification scheme as volunteers. Until February 2024, more than 1,300,000 worldwide software test engineers have participated in ISTQB® certification, and the number is increasing by more than 50,000 per quarter, making ISTQB® the No.1 certification body in the test industry and it ranks third in the entire IT industry (after PMI and ITIL).
CSTQB®(Chinese Software Testing Qualifications Board)
CSTQB® is the only member board of ISTQB® in the Greater China area (including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan), which was established in 2006. On behalf of ISTQB®, CSTQB® promotes the ISTQB® software test engineer certification scheme, certification, and manages training providers and exam providers in the authorized area with ISTQB®'s comprehensive business guidance and authorization.
CSTQB® promotes the developments of the Chinese software testing industry and does a good job of serving the CSTQB® members through market surveys, information exchange, consultation and training, evaluation and certification, copyright protection, and so on aspects.
Facing all industries, CSTQB® is the bond and coaxial role between government and enterprises or public institutions and provides a new testing approach, research of new technology, and communication platform for promotion to the Chinese testing industry. It also strengthens international communication and cooperation, actively promotes international general software training and certification scheme, builds normative high-end training and certification platform, and promotes international software testing talents flow and technical exchange, which make China's software industry connect with internationalization.
