The Automotive Software Tester qualification is aimed at people who have already achieved a Foundation point in their careers in software testing and wish to develop further their expertise in Automotive Software Testing.

Business Outcomes
The Business Outcomes expected of a candidate who has achieved the Certified Tester Automotive Software Tester certification are as follows:
- Collaborate effectively in a test team.
- Adapt the test techniques known from the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL®) to the specific automotive project requirements.
- Consider the basic requirements of the relevant automotive standards (Automotive SPICE®, ISO 26262, etc.) and select suitable test techniques.
- Apply the virtual test methods (e.g. HiL, SiL, MiL, etc.) in test environments
Exam Mode
Participate in specialist field - Automotive Software Tester certification, candidates must hold the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level certificate.

- The exam is comprised of 40 multiple-choice questions. Each question scores exactly one point. Exam takers will need 26 points in order to pass the Exam.
- Exam Length (mins):60 minutes. If the candidates’ native language is not the Exam set language, the candidate is allowed an additional 25% time.
